I don't think that is an example of a VIA bad officer. Just an example of how VIA officers police. The buses and bus stops do not look safe at all even with their presence.
I don't know, but it sounds like you were referring to safety issues.

I was but never said I would not ride the bus because of them. I refer to safety issues in my own neighborhood at times but I still live here. If I lost use of my vehicle and had to catch the bus I would and have had to at times temporarily. It has been a while now but I have caught the bus as recently as 4 years ago.

Can we go back to discussing general views now?

Sure. I wonder what kind of drug deal was going down. It's kind of strange that one person was meeting three guys at an elementary school to buy weed if it was for personal use. I think there had to be a bigger transaction going on or someone was planning to rob someone.

I have the strong suspicion that it was for an amount that was above and beyond personal use but was intended to be trafficked.

It seems as if one or the other intended to turn this into a robbery, by either not wanting to pay, or wanting to just take the money. The fact that it was not reported that any cash was discovered at the scene or with the suspects, just firearms and drugs, makes it seem like the buyer was just not wanting to pay and rob the seller of the drugs.

Unsure if the deceased was the buyer or seller though.

That seems like a bit of insincerity.

elle oh elle

Which is it? I am not confused but others seem to be...inconsistent.
I'm sincerely asking what you are doing, consistently, to help? It's different when you are asked, rather than coming on here and saying "Look at me! I did XXXXX and gave $$$$ to help! I'm so awesome!" No, what would you suggest a white lady from a cushy neighborhood should do? Seriously. Shall I go and talk to them? Tell them to play nice? Give them money? What?????? I'm all ears.

Just as I suspected. Nothing.

I doubt your sincerity.

You are free to use the DM function if you have nothing to contribute on topic and simply want to solicit personal information from any user or you can even start a new thread or better yet use the search function to find a thread that discusses an organization to join, volunteering, and donation opportunities.

If you really want to begin helping I recommend starting with yourself before branching out. For example, as general advice to anyone, one can find ways to begin to lose weight which will boost their self confidence, exercise or go walking, enjoy nature, eat better, so less junk and fast food, spend more time with your children, reconnect with your spouse, and begin fostering a view that is less critical or even cynical of those in areas they know nothing about. It will also decrease any bitterness one has.

That will make a world of difference and allow anyone to sincerely become more interested in volunteering and helping opportunities. It is not that hard to get involved and there are plenty of opportunities year round. It is easy to help with time, materials, and even monetary donations. There are plenty of organizations, from religious to social, that do good works in town. Included are the many business and corporate work places that organize as well over certain issues or events.

Many of these opportunities can be one-off, one day things, if time is an issue. Things like helping plant blue bonnets on the median between a busy road, as they recently did in my district with the councilperson, are also available.

So it is not really nothing when there is plenty to do.

Can we go back on topic now?
