No. But I never raised my voice or cussed and explained to her that sometimes the rules should be challenged if they don't make sense and arent fair and if people make a mistake that wrongs someone they should make amends for it. And many of the faculty know who I am and who she is (a straight A student with very good manners), and have compimented me for not taking no for an answer, even if it was the answer they were required by their bureaucracy to give initially and were impressed that I had researched the schools and knew theirs was better than any of the backup replacements they wanted to shuttle us to and wanted to go there, support the PTA, etc.

Life isn't fair but I guess your child doesn't realize that yet.

Are you and your parents in the same district? If not, back in 2005, the Texas Legislature added "an additional basis for eligibility for admission to a school district". They amended sections 25.001(b) and 25.002 of the Education Code to allow students in a school where the grandparents reside and when the grandparents provide after-school care. See
