I liked the Japanese Tea Gardens, Breckenridge Park, Magnolia Haus Pancakes, I liked that I met some very nice people there, and best of all I like that I found my boyfriend and my dogs there .

I like people who ad similar threads that already exist elsewhere on the forums.

I also like when 2 users post between each other redundantly for 6-7 (or more) pages, and post page after page of photos that are silly and that nobody will reply to...

-Lack of pretentiousness
-Very cohesive, friendly, and lively visual arts scene
-Beautiful (and affordable) historical districts
-Friendliest people anywhere
-Sunny and warm weather
-Excellent dive bars
-Running into people you know everywhere you go
-An actual culture created by generations and generations of people living in the same neighborhoods
-A majority-minority city where identity politics are almost nonexistent
-Often feeling like I'm living in another country
-Proximity to Austin
-Consistently democratic and tolerant of "alternative" lifestyles in large portions of the metro
-The slow pace, the easy parking, and not having difficulties finding a table at a good restaurant on a Friday night
-Watching the entire city rally around the Spurs
-Having an up and coming research university (go UTSA!)
-Socializing with other people who also enjoy feeling like they're part of an underdog, almost "off the grid" kind of place
-Getting to speak Spanish whenever you want to
-Breakfast tacos!
-The Riverwalk extension, both north and south
-Brackenridge Park
