I'm in 78251-1468, search results show that the congressman for this district is Charles A Gonzalez.

Went to his website:Heading

Clicked on Our District/Interactive Map, yup this is my district... I click on Contact, fill in everything, click on Submit.... A web page comes back saying:

Your zip code indicates that you are outside of the 20th District of Texas.
Regrettably, I am unable to reply to any email from constituents outside of the 20th District of Texas.
Click Here to return to my home page.

I'm not in his district? Double checked everything, tried again same result.

Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong?

The most official source would be the county, because they're responsible for making sure the ballots are correct. Go here: ELstrINQ02

Enter your zip code and click on your street name.

That will tell you what precinct you are in.

Then go to Electeds and make sure that precinct number is listed in the precinct list for the 20th Congressional District.

If it isn't, you can open the lists for the other districts and find where your precinct belongs.

Thanks for the quick response....

ELstrINQ02 shows two Precincts for my address:

Precinct 2069 and Precinct 1072....

Electeds shows both Precincts....

So went back to Google search, keyed in "who is my congressman for Precinct 2069 San Antonio?" and "who is my congressman for Precinct 1072 San Antonio?" both queries come back the same:

Texas U.S. Representatives

Congressional District 20--Congressman Charlie Gonzalez
Texas Congressional Member Websites (http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW_by_State.shtml#tx - broken link)

So now am stumped for sure.. First time something has gotten me to the point of contacting my congressman and I can't.....

Update: Went to: Member Web Site Listing (by State) - United States House of Representatives, 111th Congress, 2nd Session (http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW_by_State.shtml#tx - broken link)

and clicked on Gonzales, Charlie A., Texas 20th and guess what?

Firefox can't find the server at gonzalez.house.gov.

Well, I had nothing better to do tonight anyways........

If you obtain a Voter Registration Card for your address, it will indicate what congressional district, etc., you are in.

You need the 'www' in it.

Congressman Charles Gonzalez

Interactive map showing the district:

http://www.gonzalez.house.gov/index....sion&Itemid=12

Both precincts, 2069 and 1072, are part of Congressional District 20 indeed.

Texas got the most ridiculous congressional map I've ever seen.
Here's how the meeting went for that:
"We can't let cities have their own congressional map,
let's split them up and each piece "dilute" it with 10 farming counties"

I'm S.A. born and raised, and can tell you San Antonio's congressional districts have been split as far back as I can remember. Not exactly the way they are now, but split, none the less. At least as far back as the early 1970s, and probably even earlier than that.
