Guess everyone wants to live on a ranch or ??
They are hardly "ranches" when all the trees get bulldozed down.

Don't ranches need a lot of open pasture?

A ranch is in fact a pasture. Pasture is open land with lots of grass, trees, or both.

A ranch is NOT suburbia.

I know that but they don't require trees, just grass for grazing.

I can't believe I am arguing with you about ranches. What is next? How ranchers discriminate an oak tree from a mesquite tree?

You started it by basically saying that ranches need trees and I have a right to disagree. Sometimes tree clearing is used to create a pasture.

I can tell you that most ranchers will cut down the mesquite tree and let it age for use in the BBQ pit and leave the mighty oak alone!

Mmmm Mesquite BBQ...one of the things I love about Texas.

It seems lately that mesquite is very popular for making custom furniture too. People pay quite a bit of money for old large mesquite trees for that reason.

Is it the sandals? Ball caps? Shorts? Old jeans/pants? Unkept hair? People go to HEB and Walmart to get stuff done. They aren't heading to the prom or to a date, ya' know.

I always have on my ball cap, generic plain/shirt, several year old (but in good condition) khakis, and clean tennis shoes. It's comfortable and very appropriate for a grocery store outing.

Sure, I can put on my Perry Ellis jeans, nice shirt, or dress shirt (I have several), my very nice looking Sketchers shoes, spike up and fix my hair all cool, exfoiliate my face with a facial scrub, put on my two stud earrings, my very nice looking watch, my very cool hip and ultra-cool looking sunglasses, and give myself a spray or two of my Acqua di Gio cologne...but what for?

I'm just going to HEB.
I agree but I have been to stores where people dress up nicely.

People walking on the left shoulder of the highway around 9 or 10 at night when there's still a good amount of traffic. How did they get there and why are they walking there? I try to switch lanes and not drive by them because they might have a death wish.
