i couldnt find the shack. but i have heard of it. once i got to the area i knew which one you were talking about. unfortunatly, it was late and i couldnt find it, however there is already a cache nearby it.

It's off to the left into the field underneath the electric towers but when it starts to get dark, it's almost impossible to see.

try this,

san antonio, tx - Google Maps

There is a very secluded house that is just off Grosenbacher to the left of this area. Very long dirt drive way and you can't see the house from the road. I've tried.

I didn't know there was anything back there. I think it's inhabited though. Looks like there is a burn pile or something very close to the house (a little too close IMO).

That's very cool!

Does anybody know about a limestone historic building behind Valero Energy in San Antonio TX near N. St. Marys Street? The street used to be named Pastores. I actually grew up in that neighborhood in 1970 and as children we were told not to go back in the woods, because that house was haunted. I have moved from SA but when I visited again now as an adult I noticed that the building is still there and is gated now behind Valero Energy. Looks more than 100 years old. I actually took pics so I can research it. My parents don't even know what it is, they always called it the haunted house in the woods. It always looked spooky, but Valero could not get it demolished. I assume because it's a Historic building. Looks like someone set the floors on fire and vandalized it though. My parents had to sell their home because Valero offered a settlement to the neighborhood and demolished all the homes, except for the limestone house.

Is that the Valero on E. Mulberry just east of N. St Marys, across from Allison Park? I am trying to locate the house in question but I don't know the area well enough to pinpoint the structure. Once we get an address, we can check the Historical Association to see if it's on their registry.

Oh, and this post may be better places in the Haunted in San Antonio thread, I'll see if the mods will move it for ya!

Cheers! M2
