For the documentary event, they were taking the equipment for free, which was nice for the wallet.

Sounds like its better to take it to Goodwill which will most likely do some type of recycling for equipment folks bring in that cannot be placed on the sales floor.

Definietly Best Buy. They charge a fee for anything with a screen/monitor. However, they used to issue you a Best Buy gift card for the same amount of the fee. There is a limit per day. But I think it's a great service that Best Buy is doing for the communities they are in. One less piece of hazardous waste in our landfills.

It will be nice once Moore's law no longer holds true and we can buy a computer that will last for years. I wonder if that will ever happen though?

That Best Buy program sounds like something I will take advantage of!
