I'm not sure the extent that you're kidding here, but that's definitely an issue. I cringe when I see moms with a toddler in the seat of the cart and either a case of 6 oz. cans of sugary soda or a case of those little sugary Kool-Aid bottles. Unfortunately, I see it on almost every trip to a grocery store.

Mrs. Bowie used to do volunteer work reading to kindergarteners on the south side. She said the majority of those little kids had silver teeth in the front.

Yes, there should be plenty of work for a pediatric dentist here in SA.

I think the market looks strong from looking at San Antonio Texas Jobs

I won't be moving until May/June, so hopefully things will be even better.

Unfortunately, I wasn't kidding. I see it all the time. Those silver teeth just break my heart when it's completely avoidable. Pure ignorance.

My oldest son didn't get to "try" soda until he was 6, and my 5 year old has never tried soda.
The only reason I let my oldest try it, is because I knew in school other kids would offer him some.

How about for a furniture maker? One that does high-end custom stuff (built-in's, fancy furniture, etc.). Are there many designers/furniture stores in San Antonio that would be looking for a furniture maker to build custom pieces?
Thanks!

Nah…you are in the wrong market for this. The average San Antonio person can barely afford Room-to-Go furniture and they are happy with what those furniture stores offer in terms of prices and selections.

You are better off in cities like Austin, Dallas, and Houston if you are talking about Texas. Those cities have more of your audience and are willing and care to pay for custom furniture.

CHIP/Medicaid only pays for the amalgam (silver) fillings and caps. With the way food is processed and the amount of sugar in drinks kids are drinking on a regular basis, its no surprise that so many require dental work before their 5th birthday. If you are lower income, and your kids are on public health assistance needing dental work, they will get the bare minimum including a mouth full of silver teeth. Dentists who accept private insurance usually stipulate they will only do "natural" colored caps/fillings.....so I'm sure there are some kindergartners in the NISD with mouths full of fillings as well....you just cant tell.
