or wait, did you mean people taking up the aise? or me calling them a dumba$$ for doing it?
Maybe my post was misunderstood. I was saying in addition to the violations mentioned, yours are equally valid.

More like I really need to give up trying to be cute and wear them because I can't see a damn thing without them... so I bought a pair. They're bifocals, though, and that definitely takes some getting used to. I always feel like I'm walking on water because things go in and out of focus all the time.

Did you get no line bifocals?...those are the best.
The more you wear them, you more you get used to them. Caution with stairs...the steps will look like they're closer/farther than they appear.
Worn glasses all my life...thought it was nerdy at first but now I think they're cool.

I think they look much better on other people... wish I could just see good enough like I used to be able to, but Mother Nature obviously didn't agree. I suppose one day I'll get used to it and I skipped all the extra fluff. It sucks bad enough to spend money on something I don't really like in the first place.

I had my fill of wearing glasses after 30 years and got Lasik about 4 years ago. It's been great. They warned me I would eventually need reading glasses, but that prediction didn't come true until this year. I can still read the computer just fine, but the newspaper and just about anything printed requires the reading specs.

Do you have any issues with seeing light as starbursts or your vision at night? I'm mostly worried about that if I get Lasik.

I had a lot of that while driving (not so much indoors) in the first year, but much less of it now. I don't even notice it anymore unless I look for it. Plus I don't have a lot of occasion to drive after dark, so it's not even a significant issue.

I could've (and maybe should've) got that while I was active duty, but there's that slim chance of things going wrong and me going blind. I know it's very rare, but it's a possibility and I just didn't want to play let's make a deal with something as valuable as my vision.
Yeah, I'm a little conservative when it comes to getting things done to my body. Took me over a year to decide whether or not I really wanted the GB surgery.
