I'd like to see the musical Wicked @ the Majestic. The only seats available in my budget are in the balcony.

Would I be able to see, hear and Enjoy the performance from up there?

Yes, I think you should be fine especially if close to the middle.

Of course balcony seating is fine. The show is mic'ed and you'll hear everything fine.

That being said, why not look into the Wicked lottery. Not a lot of folks know that they're doing this, so your chances of snagging a great seat cheap are tenfold.

A limited number of $25 orchestra seats are set aside for each performance
2 1⁄2 hours prior to each performance, everyone in line at the Majestic Box Office will be given an entry form to fill out and drop into a lottery drum
2 hours prior to each performance, names will be drawn.
Winners have the option of purchasing 1 or 2 tickets at $25 each, cash only
Winners must be present (with valid photo ID) when their names are called, or they forfeit their tickets.
These seats are usually the front row of the theatre.

I think any seat would be ok, because it is not a huge theater. Check out the web site The Majestic Theatre & The Charline McCombs Empire Theatre and click on the "virtual tours" tab on the left. You will be able to see what it would be like.

balcony isn't terrible. Metallica was pretty damn good from there and I could hear them without a problem.
