Anyone know anywhere I might find free 5 gallon buckets or similar in SA? Used is fine!

I'm setting up a container garden to with my daughter for a Girl Scout project for her, and trying to keep the costs down as much as possible. Put an ad on craigslist and haven't heard anything back yet.

Try calling restaurants that use pickles. They come in 5 gallon buckets.

Do we have anymore Black Eye Pea restaurants? They used to have them.
Did you know they do those also with plastic pools? I have a small plastic pool if you need, just send a pm.

We used to get the five-gallon containers at the BBQ place in Floresville, on 181. Can't recall the exact name but they sell the containers for fifty cents each. Don't know if they would be willing to contribute since it's the girl scouts, but it would'nt hurt to ask. ... Or, you might try the local BBQ places.
