I'm PROUD to say that my 70 year old Mom was one of the Twelve who selected the name. Although Gordon's daughter Morgan didn't draw her name as the winner she is just as proud.

Can you share with us why they picked the name "Scorpions"?

According to this 6-minute video clip with Chris Duel and Don Harris, it looks like some sports reporters in town think the same thing I do.

I would prefer an MLS team over a NASL team. Would hate though to see SS&E kill the NASL team to only have nothing come out of in securing a MLS team. Mixed feelings as well over the fact that maybe Gordon Hartman would do a better job with not bilking the taxpayers as opposed to SS&E which most certainly would!!!!

In all honesty though I do think a soccer team in the Primera División de México or some other Latin American league would fare better in this town as far as supporters go. Too bad Mexico is sooo unstable.

Hmmm do we benefit the spurs or do we benefit Morgans Wonderland? Why is it even a choice?
If this gets thrown in the crapper I will never buy a spurs ticket. Like the reporter said, what is the right thing to do?

Sorry about that. I looked for a public equivalent, but it's only visible to Facebook users.

Don Harris will be discussing this situation on his 10:30pm Sports Sunday show on News 4 WOAI.

I think is all made up just for publicity. Just like the marriages and divorces in Hollywood.
