I am looking to relocate back to the San Antonio area. It's been about 18 years since I left SA and I know so many things have changed. My family and I have looked over the internet at a couple of places and like Boerne and Bulverde area. I will be working somewhat in the area of USAA so wanted to know drive time in rush hour and thoughts about the community and info on the schools. Any information is greatly appreciated!!!

Boerne's going to be MUCH closer. Bulverde's going to be more affordable. Really depends on what lifestyle, commute, etc. you want. And how much you want to spend. Boerne schools are very highly regarded, though any of the schools in the North SA area and suburbs are no slouch.

I'd think Boerne might be an easier commute - comin' in from Bulverde runs you down 281 an' over to 1604 - not a good place to be in rush hour, IMO.

Boerne is a great area to live in and the commute will be much easier than Bulverde. The town is relatively still small and there are great subdivisions springing up.

Boerne proper is currently expanding its HEB to become an HEB plus, we also have a Wal-mart, Home Depot and Walgreens. The schools although I have yet to experience are great from what I have been told.

There are a few others here on this forum that will enlighten you as some live in Fair Oaks Ranch or the Lost Creek Subdivision. Armadillo Homes and Ryland are currently building in the Woods of Frederick Creek which is off of Johns Road and KB is off of Hwy 46.

I love Boerne and I love the sense of community charm it exudes. There is market days and a small farmers market. I love Cibolo Nature Park and the river.

I haven't been to Bulverde but I plan on going soon for their little truck food place.

sorry, but the commute during rush hour is not worth it. I'd suggest staying in the SA area. Good luck.

I think you're referring to: Food, Drinks, Beer, Wine - Boardwalk on Bulverde

It's not in Bulverde. It's located off Bulverde Rd./Wetmore inside 1604.
