Has anyone been to the new Brazilian steakhouse in San Antonio, other than Benjamin (not that I don't value your opinion, I already read it)?

We're tossing up either Chama Gaucha (which we already LOVE) or the new place. It's my 6 year olds birthday, and she only goes to eat the salad bar items, and maybe some chicken from the gaucho's. Since she's free at both places, I don't care about the cost factor.

For meats and cheeses at Texas de Brazil, are there more choices than Chama? I ask, because that's what my daughter is looking for.

Before any nasty comments, when we asked our daughter where she wanted to go for her birthday, and it could be anywhere, she's told us for weeks, "the brazilian steakhouse!!!". She loves their little lime drinks and the fact the gauchos come over with all kinds of food.

Thanks!!!

Yep! Going to take advantage of it in two weeks. Hope it's as good as I've heard. I do like Chama Gaucha a lot. Hope Texas de Brazil measures up.

Texas de Brazil is awesome too. I think they are very very similar to each other. If you like one you'll love the other, the choices on the salad bar seemed to be almost the same. I dont really visit the salad bar when I go though, so I really dont pay that much attention to it.

Haven't been to Chama Gaucho or Fogo de Chao, but did recently try Texas de Brazil because I had heard so much about it and Brazalian steakhouses in general, and I can tell I was not the least bit disappointed. The food was superb, the service is unmatched and the overall experience was memorable. What might set it apart from the others is the whole show put on by the lovely ladies who retrieve the wine from the wall of wine. For those who might not be aware, she is suspended from the ceiling by a contraption that allows her to move up and down the 20 foot wall behind a wall of glass. And in between wine orders she will keep diners entertained as much as possible with various 'tricks'. Nothing raunchy, all very fun and classy. Quite a show to take in if you ask me.

Also, if you sign up for their email newsletter on their website they will send you a coupon for 25% off the entire bill of up to 6 diners. Just be aware that the coupon does expire 30 days from the day you sign up for it so just make sure you can make it in within a month's time before signing up. I also hear they will send you similar coupons for your birthday and anniversary.

Like I said, I haven't even been to Chama Gaucho or Fogo de Chao, but after going to Texas de Brazil I may not have to...

Wonder how much the flying wine lady get paid, and what kinda resume you need to get hired for that position. Was just discussing this with my lady, and we were both stumped to what something like this pays.
