We follow the FEB and Fort Sam for closures... but I'm not really understanding how I'm supposed to get into work from outside the city if the highways are closed until Noon, and my report time is noon.
Telework is an option for me, but it amazes me how the different agencies don't talk. If TXDOT isn't opening the major highways until Noon, the report times shouldn't be until 1, in my opinion.

Yeah, I asked that question... it got forwarded to the Regional Director and then forwarded to DC. The answer I got forwarded back was "We go by what the other Federal agencies in the area go by, specifically the Federal Executive Board".

I'm still stumped that everyone is saying by noon we'll be good and roads will be open. Just because temps hit 33 degrees doesn't mean that all the snow/ice instantly goes away.

So do I! I am watching KSAT and the access roads are backed up. Even if they did get some of the roads cleared, how are they going to deal with traffic and accidents?

They won't, which is why I am advocating staying home if you can. Unless you absolutely have to be out on the roads, it's best to avoid doing so. Conditions are still very dangerous, and I don't look forward to my drive home this afternoon!
