I'm looking for a nice restaurant to have my reception for about 15 people. Unfortunately I don't live in San Antonio so I'm having a hard time with this. Most places I am finding are true reception sites and I am looking for a nicer restaurant with a private room. It is a casual wedding so I don't want someplace overly formal or stuffy feeling. We don't have a set budget but I would like to keep it around $800 for dinner. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would go with looking at restaurants that you and your guests will like. For example, if you are looking for the best mexican food, then inquire with them on their private rooms. Some places may not have a website but do offer arrangements. We did ours at Karam's but it closed and we had 10 people and the price was really reasonable ($15/person).
Congratulations!

You can also try:
Crumpets: Crumpets Restaurant and Bakery - San Antonio's Finest I've been to a very small wedding at Crumpets, and it was nice... I can't remember the food...

The Bright Shawl: The Bright Shawl I frequent The Bright Shawl for lunch and the food is good.

Los Patios: Welcome to Los Patios. Shop. Dine. Discover. Wed. Meet. They have a small restaurant there - maybe you can rent out the restaurant for the reception. I got married at one of their banquet halls, and loved it!

Best of Luck!
