No problem. They have square foot gardening classes every few months or so here in SA. Be sure to keey an eye out for classes--they are awesome. I got my mom hooked on it and now she's trying to outdo me. By the way, I just checked and I see 2 large watermelons are sprouting. I did not see anything last week. PRetty amazing what lots of rain can do. And the best part? I didn't do anything or even touch the garden in over a month!

Looks like there are some coming next month and beyond:

Go to one! You'll be glad you did, trust me. This is new information that does away with the traditional way of gardening and as a matter of fact its being used in 3rd world countries as a better way of feeding poor civilizations.

Way to Go HEB!
When I first got here, there was a little fruit and veggie stand on Potranco, just outside 1604. Those guys always had the best stuff. I think the little shack is there, if the construction hasn't eaten it yet...

This was about 12 years ago....(geez I'm getting old)

I remember that little stand just north of Potranco outside of Loop 1604. Good fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices. Haven't seen that place in many years now.

They've had it in prior years...I went once or twice. Ditto on being disappointed that SA doesn't have a better selection of farmer markets...I've gone to both the Pearl and the one at Alamo Quarry, and it seems to be products more than produce (I remember seeing a few stands selling tomatoes, okra and hot peppers, and the rest was grass-fed beef, lavender products, baked goods, etc.). That was a few years ago, so maybe things have changed...
