Hello everyone! I am just wondering how hospitable and friendly San Antonio is. I am planning on moving there on my own and make my own family of friends Ive heard very good things about San Antonio, but still was wondering because I know Houston and El Paso and both are Texas cities as well and the people weren't easy to meet.
I am very open and friendly, love to socialize and make real friendships, love to talk to people, be silly and all but it is hard when people do not open up too much.
Thank you,

Alejandra

As a native San Antonian, I have traveled the world and always enjoy coming back home to our hospitality.

Driving... HELL NO!

Walking... I've seen nicer, but very little blatant hate; as long as you're the right person on the right side of town..

Alejandra,

Despite what you may think after reading these posts, San Antonio is a very friendly city! I've been here for about a year after living in many other places and really enjoying it...

it all depends to ones own personality. i myself dont find the southern hospitality. i think people in arizona, new mexico and even the west coast, even nicer and just as friendly as people here. ive run into many rude individuals here also.

austin>san antonio>houston in terms of niceness.

Yeah, people want to open their windows and talk trash if you do something in your vehicle that is perfectly legal but anacceptable to them. They even act like they're going to get out of their car and come teach a lesson. This is a good city to get a palm in the nose if you are intolerant of other drivers.

Other than that, it's friendly in a Texas kind-of-way.

Where did that happened to you, I've heard of some retard that went out of his way (got off the highway to pull up into an old lady and tell her, her driving sucks) LOL I guess that's really going to show her a lesson. Good thing I was on my calm cool and collected mode, if that guy would of kept it going I would of slammed his door shut on his leg

Anyhow... the majority of people that I have met here on CD or in town are really nice. I've only had a few bad encounters but chances are I will never see those people for the rest of my life
