hee-hee, you're right! The Lic tag has too many letters, unless it's from another state. Hondas don't really change their models too often, about once every 4 years I was told when I bought my first one in 1992. They are due for another body change on the 2012 models.

The new plates have seven digits. I just got new plates for my car in December and ended up with one with seven digits.

I have a new one, too....but it only has 2 letters, 5 numbers.

I wonder how many red Honda civics there are with the peace signs, the dented doors, and the Tinkerbell seat covers. I am hoping not a lot.

Not necessarily true, you need to have a clear title to do this.
None the less, the Civic is gone for good.

UPDATE: The Civic has been found and I got it back. I sold it quickly after, because I didn't want to take any chances.

The police notified us that they found it. Someone reported an abandoned car. Everything in it was gone, they took the muffler, and broke the steering column, but it still ran. And had all of the thieves power tops still in it that I guess they were using to break into other cars with. I sold it immidiately not wanting to take anymore chances. Sorry for such a late response. It's a miracle that I even found it in one piece (:

My story: my daughter moved here May 8,2003, first time away from home, knew no one except her sponsor in the Air Force. On her 23rd birthday (May 31) , she looked out her apt. window and her car was gone! She called us at work in Michigan crying, saying she wanted to come home. We borrowed $3,000.00 (value of her car as a trade-in) and talked from Michigan to the salesman at a dealership, who happened to be from Michigan, the town where her dad and I both worked! The day after she took possession of her "new" car, her stolen car was found in the subdivision next to the one she lived in. It had been sitting there for weeks, and a resident called police to report an abandoned car. Insurance covered repairs, and she was able to sell it to someone on base. But in the meantime she had two cars and the worry about selling the stolen one and paying us back (originally was going to be from the insurance pay-out). This was her welcome to San Antonio, and to the "real" world.
