My wife and I with our 2 young children are looking for a new church and are very interested in CBC Northwest. Does anybody attend this church or know anybody that does that could give us the scoop? How is the children's ministry? Are there a lot of young families with kids? It looks like a great church based on the website.

Thanks for your help and God Bless!!

I don't know if you probably already stopped in and checked out the church...but....we started attending CBC (at 1604 & Redland Rd.) about 2.5 years ago. I couldn't ask for a better church! We have 3 small children, and they LOVE going to church there, too! The girls ask if we can go to church every day! The ministry is great starting when the kids are tiny and they really work to reach out and minister to the kids throughout their entire lives. It's really a great place to get in and get connected!

I know that some churches prefer that smaller children not remain for the adult services. Is that true of CBC, or do they welcome smaller children in the adult services? My husband and I are looking for a home church as well, and we have a three year old son. We would prefer to keep him with us rather than sending him to children's church, etc...

Is this the one you are referring to? >> Community Bible Church

I'm serious when I say this: I know about 10 people who go this church! I'm spiritual but non-denominational; I don't attend church but a good portion of my extended family does go there.

They always rave about this church.

There are some people that keep their kids in Church with them, and unless they're really distracting, it's not really a big deal at all. However, once your kid goes to the children's programs in the morning, you'll be hard pressed to get them to go with you to big Church. They break the kids into small classes and the kids absolutely love it. It's not a normal "children's church". They do crafts, snacks, play and then they have a short chapel time.

I have tried CBC once so far and enjoyed it. Going to try a few more out before I decide where we want to make our church home, and also know for sure where we are going to be living. Fun place, but BIG! =)
