I haven't listened to either one since KSYM 90.1 started doing a morning blues show. I think about a year and a half now. Don't miss them one bit.

I don't like it personally. I wish they'd go the other way and play more newer stuff. It seems like they're stuck in the 90's and getting older.

It's interesting that these changes occurred right after 97.7 swapped formats. Coincidence?

I personally was finding it increasingly harder to listen to KISS. I don't even listen to it anymore, to be truthful {even one of my ex-bosses; he looked like a giant tall Polar Bear, actually, once flew into a loud rowdy tizzy one morning when some of my other co-workers yet again at the start of the morning put the radio on KISS, oh, hell no! He wasn't having that! And so he summarily changed the tuner A.S.A.P. He even asked about how John Lisle could get away with jerkishly-talking to people the way he did on the radio: "Hell, if he was talking to ME that way I would have already gotten in my truck and driven on down there a long time ago and gotten in his damn face; we'll see if he suddenly has the b*lls to talk to ME that way, g*dd*mm*t!"}. For years I hear so many of THE SAME SONGS BY THE SAME ARTISTS {which I ain't knocking at all considering that so many of those songs and artists are certainly damn great, yes} repeating over and over and over and over and over again ad infinitum.....

I mean, sure, every so seldom there might be a new song from some new artist coming on, but something like Black Sabbath's "WAR PIGS" being the *only* song of theirs being played?! Come on! Surely Black Sabbath has other great songs too.....

Eh.....whatev.....

KZEP actually has a bigger, sweeter, more pleasingly-diverse repertoire, I have noticed.......

I actually like the change in format. I am reminded of 93.7 in Austin a bit. The only problem, there are already 2 classic rock stations here. Not sure if there is a need for another one, even if it is mixed with modern rock. So, I guess I am on the fence about this one.

I think 99.5 is kickass. I listened to them a few years ago, I don't know if they've gotten better or not though. They aren't bad.

99.5 plays the same stuff over and over and over again. I agree with those who said that they're stuck in the 90's.

I haven't listened to them in about a month, but for years I've avoided listening in the morning. Lisle and Hahn just make me want to slam my head into the wall.

They changed formats? I've been hearing the same music for years. I think they're playing less new music because there is hardly any new rock music charting. KISS needs to step outside the box and find some up and coming rock bands. If new rock bands aren't getting exposure, the popularity of new rock music is going to continue to wane.

The Lisle and Hahn show is horrible.

Interesting. 99.5 KISS has een playing a lot of OLD rock music lately.. Now, how many radio stations are playing old rock?
Why can't we have a radio station that plays alternative and newer rock???
