My wife and I are looking to relocate to the San Antonio area from southern Arizona. A long time ago I lived near Bandera Rd just north of 410 so have some distant recollection of things, though having passed through a few years ago see that SA has grown explosively since then.

Basically are looking hard at New Braunfels (and to a lesser extent Schertz) area.

We currently live in a semi-rural area. She is a horse fanatic and we have two, so we need to be able to find horse friendly areas. No kids, so schools are a non factor. We don't mind driving 10-15 minutes for grocery stores, but DO mind paying the high prices of Boerne and Helotes for example.

I am a golf freak so need to be able to access golf (which seems easy enough from my research), but feel free to comment if you care to add anything useful in that arena!

Probably be working somewhere in San Antonio so would be commuting. Information about where fastest growing areas of "white collar" companies are located.

What information can any of you folks provide about the above? Thanks a lot!
