Some sort of fighter jet just flew over my house several times very slowly and low to the ground. Anyone have any idea why? I live in North Central SA...have never seen it done before.

Just checking to see if you're awake!

By chance you don't have any young ladies sunbathing around a pool in your back yard, do you? That'll attract them!

Cheers! M2

Are you part of the Libyan regime?

If not, don't worry about it... truth is, it probably just seemed to be flying very low due to the decibel level. It happens from time to time. They look closer than they really are, for several reasons.

It might have been multiple jets that appeared to be identical. Maybe the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds were passing through on their way to an airshow?

Nope, the T-birds are doing an air show at Luke AFB in Arizona this weekend, and the BA's are at Keesler AFB in Mississippi. They would have been at both locations a few days prior for set-up, etc.

I suspect it was just an F-16 from the TX ANG 149th Fighter Wing out of Kelly Field that was a little bit lower or louder than usual. It could be that they knew someone in the neighborhood, or had someone "sandbagging" a ride in one of their two-seaters; and were making a few passes for fun. As long as they don't bust regulations while doing so, that's perfectly fine.

Cheers! M2

I watched them pass over, they were F/A-18s, at least 4 separate aircraft. Not sure but looked like they had the Jolly Roger insignia on their tails.
