I recently visited this place and wasn't totally blown away.
The filling was great, but the crust was not really what I expected.
Very dry and had a box mix color (dark yellow)
Service was good and the people were nice, but it really was not like the Chi-town pies I've had.

You beat me to it. I had their pizza a number of years ago and haven't gone back. To me, the crust was too heavy, not light like the Chicago style I'm used to.

I've heard good things about Trilogy in Stone Oak, but haven't made it out there yet to try their Chicago style. For now, I just order from Lou Malnati's and have it shipped. It's a bit pricey, but you can't beat the taste.

Yeah it's pretty good, but fattening I had some this past week, and it's very, very filling. I can eat 4-5 pieces of regular pizza in comparison to 1-2 Chicago style.

Default Best I've had

Chicago's Deep Dish is the best I've ever had - I like it more than Uno's, Giordanos, and Pazanos in Chicago. Those all had flour crusts. I want mine deep golden yellow with corn meal. Flaky, like a real Chicago pie I've seen in pictures. I still haven't found a good one in Chicago, so I still have to say Chicago's Pizza in San Antonio has the best deep dish pizza I've ever had. The crust is just as good. Uno's was a huge disappointment, Giordanos was good, and Pazanos was the best of the ones I've tried.

Kennedy's Chicago Pizza on Potranco and 151, is so much better than the Chicago Pizza on Blanco.

Default Going to keep trying though.....

I'm sure there are good ones in Chicago, but I haven't tried one better than Chicago's on Blanco here in SA. I'll be trying Kennedy's for sure. Thanks.

P.S. I had a Chicago's Deep Dish the other day. The first one in a while. It really is pretty inexpensive for the quality. 19 dollars and four people are stuffed from it.
