The San Antonio Food Bank is now serving 58,000 people and many of them are from other states who came here looking for jobs.

So sad. We all need to continue to donate to the food bank during the year (not just during the giving season) as hunger doesn't go away. In addition to that we need to make sure that these programs don't get cut by advocating for the food bank. I haven't heard about these programs being cut during this legislative session, but I'm sure services will be cut in some way or another. E-mail, write, tweet, walk into your representative's office and advocate.

I understand some people will then come back and blame people moving here from other states, but people are people and I won't ask someone where they're from before helping them. But, that's just my prerogative.
