My husband wants to lift his truck. Does anyone have experiences with local places?
Thank you!

Depending on the type of lift, his mechanical skills, and the complexity of the vehicle in question he may be able to do it himself. I put a budget boost on my Jeep (spring spacers and new shocks) with nominal tools and about the same skill level, and got it done by myself. It's a pain, but it can be done!

He can also "borrow" spring compressors from Auto Zone (I think) for free, you just need to put down a deposit so they know they'll be returned. Ratchet straps will do the job if he has 'em...

Also, if this vehicles is more than a year or two old, he'll want a can of PB Blaster and a breaker bar to loosen rusty bolts and whatnot!

Here's a video on U-tube showing how easy it is on a Jeep.

Cheers! M2

I agree. Depending on what kind of lift he may want to leave to the experts. A body lift can be done in a weekend but a suspension lift is much more involved and should be left to the guys that do it daily but he should be prepared to spend about 2000 for a suspension lift and about 700 for a body lift. If he wants to take on a body lift by himself it's just the price of the lift which is about 250 plus his time. I did the body lift on my Tahoe but had help and I took a weekend. If I had to do it over I'd choose a suspension lift.

Everyone and their granny is doing the lift thing.

Go a different route... lower it with an air bag suspension.

Thank you for the suggestions. He wants a suspension lift, and he will not be attempting it himself(It would be a disaster)!!!
