Thanks for the thread, TexasNick! I'll have to pick up some next time I go to HEB. We've been using the HEB Almond Milk and that's pretty good, too.

Don't Tim, Manu and Tony do a commercial for Mootopia? I know they do one for the HEB brisket, that my son practically inhales... LOL He says that if Tim Duncan supports it - it must be good.

I'm a huge milk drinker as well. I grew up on 2%.

I have been drinking HEB 2% milk, love that stuff, I think the after-taste is awesome(that might sound weird). I love to drink that stuff at night before bed.

I wouldnt mind trying healthier options, but have yet to find something that tastes similar to what I am use to. I might have to try some of the mootopia.

THe fiance drinks skim milk, YUCK, that stuff tastes like chalky water to me...

The skim doesn't seem chalky to me at all. It's almost like white water, with a tiny bit of creamy texture--very tiny. I love it. I hate thick milk. Like Promised Land. Gag. That stuff is like pancake batter. Way too much.

I'm lactose intolerant to an small degree, so even 2% can get to me. I tried the new HEB Almond Milk. Have to say, it was pretty good compared to other "lactose free" offerings.

I know a guy at work that ALWAYS brings in chocolate milk to drink. Maybe this is what he's been addicted to.

Default Mootopia

I tried the chocolate milk and the regular milk over the weekend, and the chocolate milk was great. It was a little pricey but I will be getting it again. The regular or white milk was also good.

So, today I went to buy another one and the entire rack was sold out. I guess people are finding out about this milk. Way to go HEB! Another great product.

i started buying this like 5 years ago partly because of my growing lactose intolerance, and partly because i was "bulking" and the extra protein was a big draw. it was a pleasant suprise when i found how tastey it was!

no joke when i say mootopia (and HEB in general) is one of the things i miss most about texas, and i miss a lot about texas!

Now correct me if I am wrong, but milk contains an ingredient (lactase?) that converts to sugar in your intestine. This is what gives some people upset stomachs and why they can't drink the stuff. However, by being lactose free, the milk tastes a little sweeter for some reason. Ever drink lactose-free milk? I don't like it that much because it tastes a bit too sweet, but with Mootopia, the sweetness is mixed with raw cocoa and that's why you get the regular chocolate milk taste. Real cocoa without the added sugar is supposed to be mixed with sugar to give you that sweet cocoa taste, and in this case the sweetness comes from the sugar used in place of the lactose which would've been converted to sugar (along with other sugar on top of that!). But by skipping that extra sugar step we get to cut some of that extra sugar out.

I admit, I dont' have any confidence in what I just said, but it's the internet and there's a good chance I am right.
OMG I just about peed my pants laughing at the pic!

When I was pregnant and had diabetes Mootopia was the only chocolate milk I was suppose to drink because of the low sugar. I thought it was great and really satisfied when I had a sweet tooth.
