A few months ago, Gold's gym raised my dues to about $17 bi-weekly (about $440 a year). I went in person with the intention to cancel my membership. They offered me a yearly rate of $240 which had to be paid all at once. i took the offer and enjoy the same benefits as other folks who pay way more than i do. I just hope that my membership automatically renews at the same rate - might be wishful thinking though.

My thoughts are not off the wall- at Triton, sure the parking lot is not complete and it's not perfect, but the facility is awesome and I am very happy there. It has everything LT has- except hair salon, and indoor kid pool. I pay $60 per month less than at Lifetime. IMHO, going to LT is paying for the elite feeling. Sure the facilities are good, but they are not perfect. The showers are kind of gross. Their childcare staff could give a crap less about the kids in my experience.

I guess i'll make my needs more clear. Sure the normal stuff, weights and machines are everywhere, but my really big thing is i want to go to a place that has a nice basketball court where people actually play so i can get in on some pick up games after work. thats what i enjoy most. anyone know of any gyms other than lifetime with a nice basketball court?

don't waste your time...any guy who refers to women as "chicks" doesn't have a shot.

Triton! No, I don't work there or own the place. Just like it. Like I said, it has construction to do on the parking lot and the childcare, but it's great. But, I don't feel elite when I go there, like so many do going to LTF

Oops, guess I thought it was 24 Hour Fitness due to the big deal they made about being open 24 hours. And I heard all the info on YMCA out here, even speculated when they cleared the corners on Evans but Walgreens and CVS went up instead--of course we desperately needed 2 more pharmacies as we were forced to drive for 3 minutes to reach get to one My friend was waiting for the YMCA to open and refusing Lifetime. Soooo....I've had 5 years of workouts and she's still waiting! On the upside the YMCA did finally put grass in on the soccer fields!

only problem with triton is they close. theyre not 24 hrs, and i dont get home from work till 9 so if they close at 11 its not enough time.
