Big Lots will have some good deals if you know what to look for. As a gift 2 years or so ago when I was moving back to SA, my dad and mom took it upon themselves to furnish my living room and bedroom in my new house. I had the keys to it about a month before I was set to actually move into it. So while i was in Atlanta, they were having a field day because apparently my father lives there. Well, I color me surprised. It looked good. I'm no furniture connoisseur, very used to military standard issue of a bunk, a desk, a chair, and lamp. But I'm learning and after 2 yrs and 3 big dogs later, it's still looking good. With regular cleaning plus my OCD cleaning, still looks new. Surprises everyone that it's "just from Big Lots."

This is so true...

I had to order my furniture from online and waited about two weeks, but I have quality furniture. Also the plus to that was no sales tax, and free shipping & in home set up.

The only piece of furniture I bought here in SA was my sectional leather sofa from Macy's. They had the sofa I had been looking at online in store on display, so it was nice to see it in person before placing the order.

Shope the Goodwill and Salvation Army too. I go there and frequently they have nice furniture. There a really good Salvation Army at So. Flores and So. Alamo. The Goodwill at blanco and 410 is another good one ai know. I've heard but not been to the Goodwill on 281 in Stone Oak.
