Could be in some areas, but the places I have visited in the past few years are not like this at all. Was just in Sebring, FL and it was not like that. Nobody driving around drunk every night, no news about drunks killing someone nearly every day, and people actually concerned about others. I stayed with my grandma and there were constantly people stopping by just to check up on her. I was also out running almost every morning and I think I said "good morning" more times in those four days than I've said in the past 10 years I've lived here..

I'm not doubting that this is definitely a me, me, me world now, but SA still seems to take it quite a bit more to the extreme. There is also a seriously disproportionate amount of irresponsible people here. They just don't care about others at all.

LOL San Antonio: Home of the Alamo, The Spurs, and Drunk Drivers Honestly dont want to veer of topic here, but I cant stress how horrible people drive when they are sober, ie. Cluster Driving, Using a Cell phone, Changing Bra's ( yes I've seen it, and it was Hot!!! ) doing paper work, Eating and texting while steering with their knees (no... not Sapphire LOL JK) but I got to love drunk drivers most, they used to be a nuisance at night, but recently more have been showing up at all hours of the day. They should allow the sober drivers to detain them or give them a good ass kicking for being irresponsible but meh... what can be done about it. Slap on the hand and set them 'em free. Unless they happen to hit a Cop then its a crime!

I think we have to look at why people are drinking overboard like this anyway and then driving. Is it really a stupid no care attitude? Are these people miserable in living in SA everyday and drowning their sorrows? Inquiring sober minds want to know......

It's the culture.. rampant irresponsibility, laziness, and pure stupidity = your average SA resident unfortunately..

that's not calling out the entire city either, just a vast majority of them

No guys, I wouldnt say coulture, its the sheer stupidity of all of them. Last week I attended a Public event. I overhead some beer genus say that all the beer they sell in bars, spurs games, and that event was watered down so if he normaly gets buzzed with a six pack, he can surly take about 12-15 public beers I atempted to set the guy up so he could get ran over but he somehow escaped

And I kinda seemingly agree with you RD most of the people here do like to party and go way overboard. but their pride prevents them from admitting they they've had enough...

This article doesn’t say if the cruisers’ lights were on or not, but I’ve read studies that say at night the human eyes are attracted to flashing lights which in return causes you to hit a cruiser with flashing lights rather you’re drunk or not.

Of course it's no one's fault. Never!

luckily this time the officers are ok.

Do you have any evidence that this driver was indeed drunk? If not, why title this post ‘another drunk driver collides with police’.

The article says the driver was suspected of driving drunk and not actually drunk.
