Hello!
What's the scoop on SA and Cinco de mayo? Anything events that happen?
Where's the best spot for some Mexican and Margaritas?

There are always a few festivities/observances, but unless it falls on the weekend, Cinco De Mayo is never a big deal in SA, perhaps because it is right after Fiesta and Cornyval. As for good food/margs, just dig in the SA forum a bit, there are a million threads about them. Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Same in Mexico, except it is a bank holiday there. It's usually bigger in the US. And by the way, it's not Mexico's Independence Day...just saying.

If everyone celebrated beating France the way some celebrate Cinco de Mayo nothing would get done...anywhere.

Yeah, we went down to the Riverwalk on Cinco de Mayo last year (being new to SA) and thought we'd have a blast. Instead it was dead... and I mean really dead.

Yeah, my friend is from Houston and she wanted to know any good spots to go. I figured market square might be an option. I dont know, maybe we will just hit up a good happy hour instead

The Alamo Drafthouse is doing a "quote-along" of "The Three Amigos" tonight with all-you-can-eat tacos for Cinco de Mayo.
