Can anyone recommend some luxury apartments in or close to SA. I am trying to narrow down my list, but it's so hard! I'm afraid to end up in some noisy, college kid ridden plan.(nothing against college kids, just looking for something with a more family type feel to it)

Hi Vicky,

I was bored at work one day and thought I'd check out apartment prices around SA for my son. I stumbled across a site that I can't remember, but I typed in on my browser something like apartment reviews for san antonio, tx and it kicked back a bunch of stuff. Of course, I don't know where any of these apartments are located because I am not entirely familiar with the area yet, but I read some of the reviews and kind of got an idea of how much apartments cost in SA and which ones are good and which ones to avoid. My son probably won't be moving to TX for about a year and things may change, or I will have a better sense from having lived there (I am moving to TX in a month) of what areas are good and what to avoid. But the websites were really interesting and helpful.

The San Miguel Apartments, The Lodge At Westover Hills, The Montecristo Apartments, Retreat at Canyon Springs, The Haven are some of the ones I can think of.

The apartments I was thinking of:

The Meridian - Alamo Heights - 78209
Alexan Quarry - Alamo Heights
Retreat at Canyon Springs - 78258 -
Alta Stone Oak - 78258 - (broken link)

I'm a little confused with the Mansion/Retreat at Canyon Springs. The current Retreat at Canyon Springs USED to be the Mansion at Canyon Springs according to reviews but there is a current website for Mansion at Canyon Springs.

The contact info is:

Thanks so much for all the info. I'm trying not to go to the apartment rating site. It's scaring me!

That as well as another luxury apartment complex by the same owner are being built, which is why the Retreat changed its name to the Retreat.

Stay away from The Haven, the management are complete idiots. They have tried to ***** me out of a considerable amount of money and I have spent a lot of time going in there and explaining their lease to themselves.
