I don't know if we can put this as a sticky so that it remains and everyone can add to it for LOCAL kids that are missing under the age of 18. I realize some may be "running away" but we have no way of knowing that so it couldn't hurt. Thoughts?

Regardless here is one that I saw today.

Odd, I don't see any of those kids on the San Antonio Missing Persons list, I wonder why there's a discrepancy?

And there is only one person listed on the BCSO Missing Persons (http://www.bexar.org/bcsheriff/missing.htm - broken link), from 1996. Even more confusing!

Of course, there's a lot more here: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children - Texas, but that covers the entire state. Most likely these kids were taken outside of the city or even the state (sometime even the country!), so it would seem a state and/or national organization would make more sense.

Oh, and their main web site (Heidi Search Center) is a lot easier to navigate through versus their Facebook site!

Regardless, whatever anyone can do to help would be gratefully appreciated, I'm sure!

I went back and forth on which link to send...the website or the facebook site. I mainly wanted to get the word out on the young man who was last seen at Harris Middle School.

Troubeling that the lists vary but yes, I think we should have something that focuses on those children that are in the San Antonio area.

This is the first I've heard about him...

Quote:
Jayden Brooks aged 12 years old and missing since Thursday June 2, 2011. Last seen entering the campus of Harris Middle School on the 300 block of Pruit in San Antonio, Texas.
Why isn't this on the news?!? There is absolutely nothing I could find via a Google search!

Yeah to me 12 is still young enough that this information should be everywhere. Rather disturbing that we don't have a more active search.

Many times these incidents are the result of a domestic dispute of some sort, and that could be the reason this isn't being treated like the typical "missing child" situation. That's purely speculative, of course; but I do find it quite suspicious that the disappearance of a 12-yr-old wouldn't be all over the local news...
