I am surprised that Columbus, Ohio isn't on the list!

It makes sense the Sa would have the highest percentage of LGBT people raising children. Most LGBT families come about from divorce from traditional marriage. People in San Antonio tend to get married much younger before they have figured out who they are, and the divorce rate is therefore much higher. In more socially liberal environments, people don't feel the pressure to get married, they feel safer coming out at a younger age. This is why places like NYC, LA and Boston are not on the list. Simply having a higher percentage of LGBT familes raising kids doesn't necessarily make it a great and accepting place to raise them. Still, though, it's god to see SA on a list that does not involve "fattest" or "least educated".

Some posts above were deleted. Here's a very important reminder from the Terms of Service for the thread:

Stay on topic. Attempts to hi-jack threads by switching topics or going off topic will be deleted and infractions issued. This is not a chat room - when people hi-jack threads by posting messages that are of interest to only few people, the threads often stop being useful discussions of initial topics.
