Rudy's has good sauce. You can buy it by the bottle without actually having to buy any of their food although if already there what can it hurt. The bottle will last much longer than one dinner.

I used to be a big fan of Rudy's but I feel they are too overpriced for what you get.

The only reason I would still make a trip to Rudy's is because of their creamed corn. Not even their BBQ sauce is that great.

I definitely agree with this. I have always thought they were overrated. It's funny we stopped by the other day just to get the cream corn for my daughter.

Yea, I'll be heading there this week. I have never been there, shouldn't be too much of a drive from the Lackland area.

Unless this is something they implemented within the last week, I don't think I've ever visted one of their restaurants when they didn't have pickles, onions, and rolls on the condiment bar.
Same here.

They have charged for refills as long as I can remember. My bm's also still serves rolls/pickles.

Yes, I wish BM had creamed corn, that is one of Rudy's best dishes. I found this online: Rudy’s Creamed Corn Recipe | Bluebonnets & Brownies anyone ever made it?

Last time I tried Rudy's the brisket was rather bland and tasteless. Oh well.

BM is best for the 3 piece of fried chicken (all dark, IMHO) and some cole slaw for an inexpensive lunch that is filling.
