So I've decided that my walls are a little too bare. I won't be able to put any kind of wallpaper since I'm renting and I don't want to put some predictable picture frames up.

I'm looking for a large wall-hanging throw/tapestry which would measure at least 5 feet by 5 feet on one of my walls.

I did a google search and couldn't find much locally. Online there are plenty of sites to buy from, but I am not going to purchase something like that online as I want to see it in person first.

Anyone know where I can go to browse and check some out locally?

My price range is under $75 preferably, but I'm willing to go higher.

There is a place at Blanco and 410 in the shopping center across from Target called World Market. They may have something. The other thought I had is a carpet store. People hang carpets on the wall. I don't mean low pile loop in beige, I mean an oriental or patterned rug. Then you will have something that can go on the floor one day. Get creative.

I will look into that, thanks!

Interesting! I didn't think of that.

Hobby Lobby and Joanns (the big Joanns at 410/McCullough) have some really nice home decor fabrics. The really nice ones in Hobby Lobby are about $25/yard but they just about always have them 30% off. If you don't sew, you could fold the edges under and glue them with fabric glue, at least on the thicker kinds of fabric, or depending on how you were going to hang it up, just fold the edges under and then use decorative tacks to attach it to the wall. If you do sew, they usually have coordinating sheer fabrics, so you could make some sheer curtains to match your wall hanging, or buy a little extra of the wall hanging fabric and make some throw pillows.

Great tip! Thanks.

Could also wrap fabric around art canvases and staple or glue the fabric in place - not sure if canvases would make it easier to hang? Probably wouldn't find canvases that big, but could do a few using the same fabric or complementary fabrics. Michael's and Hobby Lobby have canvases on sale (40% or 50% off) fairly often - no fabric at Michael's, though, so would have to get that at Hobby Lobby or Joann's as Hedgehog_Mom mentioned.
