St. Louis is another metro area with a larger corporate base than San Antonio. That shouldn't come as a surprise though. SA pulls less than its own weight when it comes to things like personal income and GDP. That's why there isn't an NFL team in SA.

F500 isn't an important factor? Isn't it what that dumb study was based on? Saying SA didnt have enough when it has more than many NFL cities like Phoenix, SD, nashville, Indy etc. San Antonio is not limited to its 6 F500. Did you forget that it has a stronger economy?

Is SA going to get a team? Only God knows. If it doesnt get a team it isn't because it cant support one, but simply because of a political agenda.

Bcak when Cisneros was mayor, he built the Alamodome in hopes the NFL comission would consider S.A. for a franchise; it didn't work. Yes, S.A. with the help of surrounding cities including Austin could support a NFL franchise. Although, it will not happen for quite a while...

If New Orleans and Green Bay can support NFL franchises, SA can. Granted New Orleans and Green Bay have historic teams, that could never be relocated.

you know the "dumb dumb "con"" dome was a big scam for him to make $$$$ ..
right off the bat the nfl said they would never allow a team in the dome because it didnt meet the suite requirement.

Cisneros was and still is one of the worst things to ever come from san antonio.
he is still making money off the backs of hard working people in this town.

he should be dead or in a ditch somewhere for what he did to this city

I dont think Cisneros was a total failure. The Alamodome has been more of a success than a failure. It has brought a lot of sporting events that would have never come to SA.

The fact that the Alamodome up until now has not managed to land an NFL team is water under the bridge. The building could still be used as a home for an NFL team if the money were spent to bring the place up to league standards. Or it could be used as a temporary home for a team while a new stadium is built. The thing certainly hasn't been a total loss however.

San Antonio would need a wealthy Billionaire to step up.
