I don't always agree with all the articles and there is quite a bit of hating going on by some of their writers (luckily they got rid of that POS carlos guerra finally), but I would not call the entire thing slanted. My primary issue is the car reviewer loves every car he writes about, which is a bit annoying. The Taste section is great and I always look forward to the Sunday ads and cupins

Texas does need to give up on some of their issues, though... I just got back from the two largest college communities in Michigan and they're definitely a bit more open minded and in a very good way.

Hahahaha!!! G. Chambers Williams III DOES love seemingly every car. But he looks good in his picture, so I guess I'll give him a pass on that. Big smile. Seems like a good guy to have a beer with.

San Antonio is largely democratic. The rural areas are conservative. That article was about a rural town, not San Antonio.

The vast majority of San Antonio democrats vote as such given that party's economic and financial ideologies, while being extremely conservative socially.

The photo accompanying the story reminded me of how the TV stations promote their lurid stories during sweeps.

Just out of curiosity, what would have made the story more balanced? Quotes from the busted prostitute? Quotes from strip club patrons?

Well, Gov. Perry could have prayed a NO-NASTY-SEX forcefield over TX the other day. Missed his chance.

This story reminds me of driving through Wyoming years ago. The local TV news had a story of hookers working out of trailers near the mining camps. They had night vision pictures of the sinners.

Welcome to the real world. As far as the Express-News, typical local paper. The Current is crap also.

What goes on in Carrizo Springs, stays in Carrizo Springs.

I almost lost it when I got to "big city vice and wickedness". Walton's Mountain anyone?

Come on now - sometimes his bias shows through. He compares Hondas to appliances (functional but not beautiful), and he repeatedly notes how the Ford F150 would not be the best-selling truck if you combined sales of the identical Chevy and GMC pickups.

That said, I do agree that he seems like a good guy, and I always read his column.
