Time for an update...we did our TJ run early this morning....find of the week as far as we are concerned is the Primitivo epicuro wine, 2010.....$5.99 a bottle and a VERY nice, dry red....smooth and very enjoyable with cheese. Also, don't miss out on the seasonal, Salted Carmel Chai Tea and the Cinnamon Tempest teas!!!! Both EXCELLENT!!!!

I made a trip there a couple of weeks ago. It was packed. I'll go back in the morning one day so I can really browse. National brand milk is more expensive there than it is at HEB and probably at Walmart too. I like all of the organic choices that are cheaper than Whole Foods and Central Market, but I haven't tasted anything amazing yet. At least they have more options than Sprouts.

Finally tried the cookie Butter. Awesome! I need to go back if for no other reason than the tote bags! Love them!

Don't know which ones were free but I'm talking about the canvas ones for $4.00. They beat any that I have seen. I hate the one from walmart and HEB.

Got it. I thought you meant the shopping bags. During the first few weeks the store was open, they were presenting shoppers with a free reusable shopping bag. I got one of those. It's a nice bag.

Don't forget the insulated TJ's lunch bag with the H20 web holder on the side....PERFECT for lunches (for those of us that still drag it in daily for the man)!

I came to this thread JUST to talk about the cookie butter! I didn't read the whole thread or even most of it, and I haven't actually BEEN to TJ's yet, but a friend of mine lives right around the corner and I tasted the cookie butter at her house. Freakin' brilliant.

I also had some coffee that she buys there, whole bean, at a price less than HEB's least expensive so I am eager to check it out.

I went for the first time on New Year's Day....bum bum bum. They were closed. Not a wasted trip, though, I did a bit of shopping across the street before.

I finally went yesterday. I hadn't read much more of the thread since TJ"s opened, but I will be making special trips just to get that darn Cookie Butter. I had never heard of it, or about it, but it was just sitting right there and I was like, "Best or worst decision ever....' It was pretty crowded, I had to wait in line to get a parking spot but everyone was very polite causing no problems getting in and out.
