There are already over 29K sold for the first game, and that doesnt include the 15K student section.

UTSA has over 30,000 students. So I would say there will be a lot more than 15,000 students at the game even as the student section will only be allowed 15,000 seats. Add to that all the alumni and general interest fans and you've got what could very well be a full house for this inaugural game. Very exciting.

Let's just hope for something along 25-30K. At the same time SA can't loose interest the rest of the season letting attendence fall to HS levels of 10-12K. Its up to local media, the school, and alum/current student body to really keep up the energy throughout the season.

As a current student I don't have to pay admission to any athletic games. I got lucky and have first row seats for all six home games! Woo.

You do realize that sitting in the front row of a student section means you have to go to games shirtless and covered from hair to waist in paint? I think it may even be a law.

What about parking? Do you have to pay for that or is there some kind of free-student option?

They increased the student section to 20,000 seats. As of now they are expecting at least 60,000 at the inaugural game.

I do expect decent "paid" attendance for the rest of the home game. With the tailgating lots B and C sold out, I can imagine more than a few fans sticking around the tailgating lots instead of attending the future games. In other words, there's 30,000 seats sold but actual attendance is near 15,000-20,000 for home games 2-6. Just my opinion.

Either way, season ticket sales have far exceed expectations. As long as the fan base has some patience, this program might have a chance to take off.

Be ready for a sellout on all games. You can drink at The Alamodome and what young, college male does not like to watch football and drink beer? I remember when TX played Iowa in The Alamo Bowl awhile back and it was crazy! They stop serving at the end of the third quarter just like Spurs games. Plus tailgating will likely be in full effect. Though it isn't my alumni I will try and check out some games.
