Can anyone make a recommendation from personal experience? It looks like my husband and I are going to have to look into this, and we're not certain where to start. Thanks in advance!

Frank B. Burney

A truly excellent real estate attorney. Might be more than you can afford. If you're going up against a big local corporation, there's a good possibility he is representing the other side. I often read quotes from him in the newspaper, so I know he is in demand. [edit] And I do have personal experience with his work. I'm not going to go into detail, but the one time we needed him, he really came through with a good outcome for us.

Another option is Wayne Choate at Goode Cassseb Jones Riklin Choate & Watson, P.C. I haven't used him for any personal real estate issues but the company I work for has used him several times for purchases, sales and problems.
