Although it has not been publicized, the rumors are true.

Fiesta Texas has been bought out by Walt Disney World and will be in full operations by 2010. All planned renovations will be taking place with the next three years. There is no set time when this announcement will be acknowledged by the City of San Antonio, but officials at Disney moving forward with this move.

Source: Employees of Disney World's (FL) culinary department.

More to come...

I'd be more inclined to believe you if you had choosen a better screen name also if your source wasn't Disney World's culinary department. Nice try though.

Thumbs up Not a joke.

Do some reference checking on future property values for the UTSA area. And give this thread two more months to prove itself.

Again, this is not a lie.

Again, more to come...

Talk about another huge economic boost if this is indeed true. I'll be looking forward to the official announcement sometime within the next couple of years.

Why would the Disney World's culinary department have this instead scoop yet no other media and more importantly how do you have this information and not some other national or local media?

Disney buying a Six Flags property would be news, not major news but news enough for someone other than you and a culinary department to have knowledge of.

Again, nice try. This thread will most likely be closed and removed so enjoy it while it lasts.

210, you are quite the doubter and I totally respect it. This wonderful news has just been received a few days ago. Like I said, give this thread two more months to prove itself (I guarantee it that others will know of the official news during that time period and its secret will be no more).

If this was a known deal a few days ago and yet still hasn't been made known except for you and a few people in a food department why is it that we still must wait some 2 months until the news will be confirmed or revealed to the public.

Also, how did you come about this information?

I'd love to know that.

Though where ever you did get it from it's obvious from the "source" this is a joke.

It would be ALL OVER Texas news. I think the more logical choice for a Disney nearest us would be Monterrey, Mexico. It could attract visitors from Texas and Mexico (like Mexico City). And it falls within Disney's ambition of more international parks.

I agree with the Monterry Mexico venue. More Mexicans would be able to visit and Monterry has grown into a major metro area. US citizens can visit Mexico much easier than Mexicans can visit the US.
Why in the world would Disney buy one Park and not the whole package?
I still have a hard time believing it. I'll keep this very short. I may have to eat these words one day, I doubt it, but just incase. Keep it sweet.

I believe the guys over @ Six Flags Fiesta Texas Online :: Home would have a heads up on this first had it been true.
