So the sunroof just died without fully closing...dealer wants 560$ to fix it and cant get to it until next week! Can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable place in town that might get to it asap?

You dont have a manual way of closing it do you? Most hondas and VW have a manual crank

what model eclipse? have you tried google? If its a newer model you can probably find a solution on the forums that mistubishi has. seems like its a common problem.
From my quick google search it looks like a real PITA but looks like a big $$ saver if you do it yourself.

Do you hear the S/R motor when you push the button,..if not,..check the fuse...

Duct tape. Or Broadway Tire. They do electric windows...they did mine and for less than the dealer. I'm not sure they are open Saturday, the # is 210-824-0642.

thanks guys for the ideas! yes there's power to it, the switch engages, just doesn't move. I've tried google and even the dealership, no dice getting it to seal.

when i had a window motor go bad, it died while the window was halfway up/down. so, i stripped the hot and cold wire, hooked them up to a car battery, watched as the window rolled up, respliced the wires back together and called it a day.

you SHOULD be able to do something similar for your sunroof.
