Tiny spider is a big roadblock - San Antonio Express-News

Apparently only one was found, but since it is the first one found in three decades (it has been on the endangered species list since 2000), construction has been halted indefinitely. That could mean the project continues as is, be modified or scrapped altogether, according to TxDOT San Antonio District spokesman Josh Donat.

It's definitely an interesting turn of events!

BTW, Wal-Mart is talking with Woodbine about building a "Neighborhood Market" near Warren High School. Attached is the preliminary plat. Interesting.

Oh wow. Say goodbye to nearby property values. Feel bad for homeowners in those adjacent neighborhoods. Some of those homes are (were) $300k+.
