There are parents that both work and still manage to raise kids so I still believe a "soccer mom" still has it easier but I am sure it is still a lot of work either way.

This happens in the Beaumont area frequently. Have they not figured out yet that you don't speed while driving in dense fog ???

The above accident has morphed into three separate accidents for a total of 100 vehicles and two fatalities.

Just a note to all of you that get your mail at a "cluster box". Christmas mail theft is raging and not only are they taking EVERYTHING inside the cluster box they're prying open the parcel lockers as well. Check your mail before 7 pm if possible or get it checked by someone. If you notice suspicious activity around these boxes call the police immediately. The Post Office is trying to get a handle on this but they also need the "extra eyes" to catch these thieves. Also try to get a description & license number of any suspicious vehicle(s).

This must be a new type of crime and just last month it was happening somewhere else.

^I don't know...having done it both ways, it's much more demanding (for me with my methods anyway) to stay home with my kids. When I worked outside the home, so many of the kid-related chores were punted to my babysitter. I picked them up, got food to go somewhere, bath, bed, done. Sometimes I'd pick them up and they'd already eaten dinner. I didn't like how little time I had to spend with them, but I felt like I had WAY more time for myself. And the house stayed cleaner since no one was home to mess it up.

Totally different story now. I'm not complaining, though. It's hard work that I like doing. And I'm lucky that my husband works primarily from home, so he's never questioned what I do all day. My ex-husband used to ask me that, emphasis on the EX.

Default if tortillas were illegal...

if tortillas became illegal in this state how would you react. would you deal in the black market and deal with smugglers. would you pay 10.00 for a bag of corn tortillas 15.00 for flour?
imagine having to eat frijoles without tortillas, i think we will riot. what would you do to get these illegal items.

Could you not simply buy the ingredients and learn how to make them homemade? Or will the ingredients themselves be illegal because if so then either flour or corn would be illegal...
