Jeff Roper is baaaaack. He is doing a Kia commercial. He wasn't gone long from the airwaves. Now if only Fiona would take a hike.........(I don't watch the show, I only see the commercials for it).

At first I thought he was pretty good...until.....he did that Kia commercial. The more that commercial plays the more it annoys me.

Thank you, I agree. I love(d) his Texas accent when I first heard him speak on the SA Live commercials, and thought he was "cute" in a strange kind of way, but then seeing him and hearing him do the Kia commercial (for a "legend"), well, I just felt it was a step back for him. But, a person has to do what a person has to do to pay the bills and feed the family, and I wish him success in his future career path.

Geez...I feel like I've been living in a cave ever since I retired from
working in the TV media.

I have no clue about any current commercials or personalities at all.

I recall the Centeno commercials...but that was because I
had to be there with the camera.

(After 28 years as a cameraman, I stopped watching television
except for PBS or TCM movies without commercials.

Smart! You definitely do not miss anything in the world of commercials today, except for loud, annoying, repeated, ignorant, ads that are an embarrassment to me as an intelligent human. What do these writers and marketers, and most of all, the products' owners, think when they write or allow this garbage to advertise their product? Proof of "the dumbing of America".

ETA: there are exceptions to everything, I give kudos to those who write, market and approve those ads that are creative and entertaining.

Do the commercials still get louder than the programing.

I remember as a kid the commercials would blare out.

I talking about the beer, & cigarette commercials.
Now that really goes back a while!

Speaking of commercials, have you seen that the Brian Loncar advertising is back? Kind of ghoulish that they're trading on a dead person's name. It was reported today that he died from a cocaine induced heart attack.
