Something new started up today, was watching an HD news channel and all of a sudden I got a pop-up (still on screen) telling me to press OK to continue watching the channel.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes! Happened to me last week. TV was on just for background noise I noticed that I couldn't hear anything and saw the message on the TV. I didn't press OK and after a few minutes the screen displayed either the Please Wait or Station Unavailable message. What's with that?

Have no idea but am happy it's not just me...

Dread having to call TW support.

"Please wait, all of our operators located on another continent are busy"

Has TWC upgraded to some new boxes lately? We seem to have had our Explorer 8240's for what seems like years now and they seem to be acting up a lot these past few months.

Believe me, I live by that TW mantra, unplug the converter, wait 5 minutes then plug it back in.

You have no idea how many times I've had TV problems over the years with them...

First thing I always do when something weird occurs, but geez it takes a year and a day for the converter to reload...

I know they did some type of firmware upgrade late at night a couple of months ago (I'm a late night TV junkie)...

I've got two different model Explorer HD converters from TW, one of them is almost twice as slow as the other going through that *wonderful* on screen menu they have...
