I think they are referring to David Cruz, but he returned to WOAI after spending time in LA. He's a SA native.. I personally prefer Tanji and Beemer, but I'm also very used to that duo..

David Cruz | WOAI.COM: San Antonio News

Ha ha, it would be funny if they're all sitting around the newsroom reading this...

Insomniac,

Yes, I'm in San Antonio. I handle public affairs for KGBTexas.

David Cruz is a veteran with decades of experience in LA, SF, etc. WOAI was fortunate to get him back. He anchored at WOAI years ago.

I noticed the cupcake place that is often talked about in the 1604/Potranco thread got a review in the business section of the EN today. More fuel to the fire that someone in the business section of the EN is reading C-D

Since joining here a couple of months ago, I've seen many instances of things mentioned in this forum appearing in the media shortly thereafter. It's nice to have a hand in shaping the focus of local journalism.

Someone from one of the TV stations in one of the other threads said that several of them read this and they do in fact get news and ideas from us.

Tiffany Mock is still in San Antonio. I believe she is a consultant for a firm as well as a volunteer for many different organizations.

I miss Tanji Patton. Not a real fan of Delaine Matthew-it's nothing she does, just not a fan...

Jeff Coyle, we also loved your reports. My son is a big fan, as you had him on one of your reports (the girl who was attacked and left behind a dryer collecting teddy nears at University Hospital).

I've always watched the NBC affiliate, wherever I've been...
