Isn't the fireworks ban still on or what? I want to see fireworks but where? No I don't want to buy and set off my own. Can anyone recommend...?

It appears that the ban has been lifted for the New Year's Fireworks - see previous thread: //www.city-data.com/forum/san-a...ll-effect.html

If you have a clear view of the downtown skyline, you should've be able to see the display from the Downtown celebration!!!

Good idea but I'd like to be as far from downtown as possible so as to avoid cars and crowds, and still see the fireworks, does anyone have a favorite viewing spot to share with us?

NW corner grass lot at the Hildebrand and Devine intersection. No one will be drunk. You can see the whole Southside skyline too. Lots of firework action.
