Anybody know if anyone here or near San Antonio breeds Min Pins, (miniature pinchers)? I would like a black and tan female and can't find one anywhere...

I personally feel it's better to rescue than to pay huge bucks at a breeder. Here's where I got my latest two babies: Petfinder Pet Search Results

If you're looking for something that isn't backyard bred you should try looking at the Min Pin Club of America (MinPin dot org) and look up a breeder there. They also have links to Min Pin rescue, the Texas contact is listed there as Hope Levene and her e-mail link is there too. If you're lucky you'll find a quality breeder in the state. If you're insanely lucky you'll get one in a 200 mile radius. When I was looking for a Frenchie (and yes, I tried rescue first, I'm a foster parent for the national rescue) it took me a year and multiple visits, phone calls, and emails to find the right dog. I was lucky, he was in Dallas so the round trip was only a 12 hour drive.

I know when I worked at the Humane Society for a few months last year, there were a couple of mini pinchers that had come in and subsequently got adopted. You might also contact them to see if there is a local rescue group for this breed.

Found one! Good old San Antonio Express Newpaper! One day none and the next day three ads! I did try the Humane Society first actually. One was a runner, another a climber, another a marker, one had heartworms and 1,000 to fix... Anyways, this was a nice family with children and the puppies had been played with alot and price was reasonable and shots were there and documented from the vet. Thanks all for your help.

Default Looking for Stud

I have a Black an tan 1 and a half year old Min Pin female an im looking for either a Blue, Choc/ Tan, Red, or Black/ Tan Male to breed to. She is not registered. She was found running down the side of the road but she is perfict. Great confermation. An she has a very sweet disposition. We would be willing to give the pic of the litter or you could have more than one if you like.

Seriously????? Do you know about the serious pet overpopulation problem we have here in SA? Hundreds of dogs every month are destroyed/killed because there are not enough homes. Do everyone a favor and get your dog spayed. It is the responsible thing to do.
BTW- what's "confermation" ???? Me thinks you should NOT be in the dog breeding business. No matter how "perfict" your dog is.

This thread was started in 2007, folks. I doubt that advice is still needed. If it is, I'm sure that TANGLES123 can start a new thread.
